We collect only the information necessary to provide you with access to AI Genie and deliver a great experience. This includes:

Account Information

Email address — used to create and identify your account.
Name — used to personalize your experience (if provided).
Password — stored securely as a hashed value; we never see your plaintext password.

Payment Information

Payment is handled entirely by Stripe, our PCI-compliant payment processor. We do not collect, store, or have access to your credit card number, CVV, or full billing details. Stripe shares only a confirmation token and the last four digits of your card for receipt purposes.

AI Usage Data

Prompts and inputs you submit to our AI tools.
Outputs generated by the AI tools during your session.
Credit usage logs — how many credits you consumed and when.
Tool usage frequency and feature interaction data.

Technical Data

IP address and general geographic region (country/city level).
Browser type and version.
Device type and operating system.
Pages visited, time on page, and clickstream data.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

Provide and maintain your access to all five AI Genie tools.
Process and verify your one-time payment via Stripe.
Authenticate your account and keep your session secure.
Enforce daily AI credit limits and track usage.
Send transactional emails — purchase confirmations, account notices, and security alerts.
Send product update emails and tips (you can opt out at any time).
Diagnose technical issues, fix bugs, and improve platform performance.
Analyze aggregated, anonymized usage patterns to improve our tools and user experience.
Comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not use your data for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects without human review.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties. We only share your data with trusted service providers who help us operate the platform:

Stripe — Payment processing. Stripe receives your payment details directly and is governed by their own Privacy Policy.

Vercel — Cloud hosting and infrastructure. Your data may be stored on Vercel's servers, which comply with industry-standard security practices.

OpenAI — AI generation engine. Prompts you submit may be sent to OpenAI's API to generate responses. OpenAI's data usage policy applies to this data.

Supabase — Database hosting. Your account data and usage records are stored securely via Supabase.

We may also disclose your information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.

4. Cookies

We use a minimal number of cookies — only those necessary to make the service function correctly. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking cookies, or cookies for behavioral profiling.

Authentication cookies — to keep you logged into your account securely.
Session cookies — to maintain your active session as you navigate between tools.
Security cookies — to protect against cross-site request forgery (CSRF) attacks.

These cookies are strictly necessary for the operation of the service. Blocking them may prevent you from logging in or using the platform. You can manage cookies through your browser settings.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Specific retention periods include:

Account information — retained indefinitely while your account exists.
AI conversation history — retained for 7 days to power the Media Buyer Assistant's memory feature, then automatically deleted.
Payment records — retained for up to 7 years to comply with financial record-keeping requirements.
Usage logs — retained for up to 90 days for debugging and fraud prevention.

Upon account deletion, we remove all personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it longer.

6. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Correction — Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
Deletion — Request that we delete your account and associated personal data.
Opt out of marketing — Unsubscribe from non-transactional emails at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us.
Data portability — Request your data in a portable, machine-readable format.
Objection — Object to certain uses of your data, such as analytics.

7. Security

We take the security of your data seriously and implement industry-standard safeguards:

All data is transmitted over SSL/TLS encrypted connections (HTTPS).
Passwords are hashed using bcrypt before storage — we never store plaintext passwords.
Database access is restricted and protected by network-level security rules.
Payment data never touches our servers — Stripe handles it end-to-end.
Sessions use short-lived JWT tokens with secure, HttpOnly cookies.

8. Children’s Privacy

AI Genie is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we discover that we have collected data from a minor, we will delete it immediately. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, notify you by email. Your continued use of AI Genie after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
